Disclaimer
Before you dive in, let’s get one thing straight: this blog isn’t Wall Street, it’s more like a cozy pub where we swap personal stories about money over a drink.
Not Financial Advice
What you’ll find here are my personal experiences, reflections, and the occasional facepalm-worthy mistake. They’re real, sometimes messy, sometimes funny, but always mine in the end.
I’m not a licensed financial advisor. I don’t own a crystal ball, and I definitely don’t wear a suit to bed. Nothing here should be taken as professional financial advice. So if you’re making big money moves, please make sure to do your own homework first.
Your Life ≠ My Life
Your financial life is your own, just as mine is mine. All of the stories on this blog reflect the paths I’ve walked, shaped by my own background, privileges, income, lifestyle, and social circle. At the moment of writing, I estimate to be among the top 10% earners in the Netherlands. That context matters.
Because as the saying goes: to be where I am, you must have been where I’ve been. So don’t try to squeeze into my financial shoes — they’ll probably give you blisters. Instead, treat my stories like a travel guide: useful to spark ideas, but never a substitute for your own map.
What This Blog Is
The Fillennial is here to entertain, inspire, and kick off conversations, hopefully in your own social circles. Think of it less like a lecture hall and more like a dinner table: stories get shared, ideas bounce around, and sometimes someone spills a drink on the tablecloth. That’s all part of it.
Transparency
This blog is written with integrity, or at least my view of it, in mind. This means that The Fillennial will not ask, force, or manipulate you to spend money in order to learn more about it. As a result, The Fillennial has:
- No hidden affiliate links
- No gated content
- No donation buttons
- Minimally disruptive monetization, always transparent and secondary to the stories
Summary
Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and remember: your financial journey is yours alone. Use this blog as inspiration, not instruction.
Think of it as me handing you a compass, not a GPS. You’ll still need to decide which way to walk.
